I mean, you’re not surprised, right?

When I posted I Am An AI Hater I did not expect it to reach so many people. I am grateful to everyone who has shared it online and offline or who messaged me to say that it captured what they felt. A year later, the bad news is that AI remains an active threat, a dangerous political project, and a mountain of horrendous bullshit. The good news is that many people hate it.

Translations

I am surprised, delighted, and grateful at how many people reached out wanting to translate “I Am an AI Hater” into other languages. It has now been translated into ten languages besides the original English: Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Finnish, Latin, Catalan, German, and Dutch.

I like to think of these great people as “The International AI Haters Union,” and I have compiled their efforts into a PDF: The International AI Hater’s Union, Volume 1. If you speak a language that is not included in volume 1, please feel free to translate it and send it to me for inclusion in future editions.

Audio Recordings

Similarly, people have recorded audio versions of the different translations. Lauren Woolsey did a great job with the English version and inspired me to record one myself. I have downloaded, normalized, and trimmed the audio files. You can download a zip of the collected recordings, or listen/download them individually below.
